From La Rochefoucauld
Monday morning [April 21, 1777].

The Duc de la Rochefoucauld presents his regards to Monsieur the Doctor Franklin, and prays him, if he has finished reading the translation of the Virginia Constitution, to send it back to him, because he would like the time to make some corrections, in order to ask, if necessary, for a few final clarifications on Friday; he and Madame his mother hope that the Doctor remembers the engagement he took to come dine with them on that day, and to bring Monsieur his grandson.

If Monsieur Franklin has the rest of the Maryland Constitution, the Duc de la Rochefoucauld will be obliged if he would send it back to him, and to send as well the two Remembrancers containing Virginia's constitution.
