I make bold to take this Oppertunity of writeing to You and the Barrer hearof Can inform You of the Great distress I am in at this time and how to Disingage my self I can not tell hunhapy for me I was ingaged with one James Pearson about fifteen Year ago in an Are Furnice and the said Pearson obtained from me in Cash and Goods to the amount of neer three Hundred Pounds on a protended partnership but I never Could Get him to have an article of Agreement Drawn between us and he on my requesting to have it Don he refused and Told me to go a bout my Bizness and turned me off and took another man in patnership and Carred on the Casting Bizness with him till the British Came to this City and Destroy’d it and puld it Down and as I was but seven or Eight months with im and I found myself during the time but he haveing Commensed a Lawsute against me for is Lawsute that he sustained on account of the Furnice by the English he sold many of my tools such as did not sute im and keept the Greatest part such as suted im in the Furnice for im and is partner to work with he Likewise sold all my Goods at Differant Vanduses and rendered me know account of them to me nor even any of the profits of the said Bizness but all ways shoffled me off he not being Contented with takeing my mony and my Goods but now he Demands two Hundred and fifty Pounds of me besids the former money I before mentioned and I think it very hard to suffer so Great a Lass as it is to me. Dear Sir I haveing not any money and their being not any Bizness in the Gun trad at this time and Cannot Get into any imply at this time it throws me into Great Distress if Your Exelence Could find me something to do about Your house Let it what would I should be Glad to serve You as I think I Could be of service to Master Benjamin Beacha in the Letter foundery and I would serve him faithfully and on as easey termes and if he should begin the Printing trade I Could work at the press if their Could be any imploy Could be found for me I should be Extreamly Glad of being imploy’d And should take it as a purticular Favour Confered on Your Very humble Servant
