A Letter has been delivered to me as from you, by a Mr. OConnor, recommending him in the strongest Terms to my Good Offices, &c. I would wish always to pay due Regard to your Recommendations; but the Letter appears to me not to be your Hand Writing, nor your Stile, and I suspect it to be fictitious. Pray let me know if you have written such a Letter. It is dated Dec. 31. Let your Answer be by the Return of this Post if possible.
You have not yet acknowledg’d me the Fount of Great Primer, and I think you told me you had not yet open’d the Small Pica. I have here an Opportunity of selling both those Founts for Ready Money. I desire therefore that you would send them to me by the first Vessel, and I shall give you Credit for the Value as so much paid, on the Back of your Bond. I am, Your Friend and Servant
