From Theophylact Bache (unpublished)
Newyork Augt. 22d. 1786.
Sir

On my return to Town this morning I found my self honoured with your favour of the 15th Inst. enclosing Bill of loading of a small pacquet, per the Brig Bailly & Suffren. It has been sent to the French Consuls, and forwarded to you by him: or I should with pleasure have received, and forwarded it to you.

I hope that my Brother has got the better of the Fever and Ague and that I shall soon have the pleasure of hearing from him. I am with much respect Sir Your most Obedient and most humble Servant

Theophylact Bache

Please to inform Mrs. Bache that her Neice Eliza is almost recovered and will leave the Country in a few days. They all join me in sincere affection to her and family
