From Francis Childs (unpublished)
New York July 8 1786
Dear Sir

By Doctor Craisie, I herewith send you the Letter you required of Me as being necessary for the proper casting of the Imperfections. I wish that they were already done, as we experience great inconvenience for the Want of them. I believe I have hitherto omitted mentioning the want of Fractions—these are also highly necessary.

Yours of the 18th I delayed answering till I could inform you of the arrival of the Types—This is still out of my power. And I have some apprehensions for their safety.

I wrote to Mr. Burke for the favor of sending me a few Bundles of Paper. You will much oblige me by requesting him to forward the same, as I have not more than will last me three publications—the expence by the Elizabeth Town Stage is no object, considering the necessity.

With gratitude for your attention to me, believe that I am Sir sincerely Your devoted and obliged Servant.

Frans. Childs
