From Edward Bridgen (unpublished)
London Oct 4 1785

I am just returned, My Dear and Revered Sir, from my long tour in the North, which I told you I was going to take, and found the inclosed from the worthy Bishop, which I have packed up in a less awkward Manner than I received it, and hope that it will come safe to hand and meet you safe and well among your Friends in America; I long much for such news!

I am very thankful for having received so much advantage in my health and Spirits from a Journey of near 1500 Miles.

I am so new in Town that I know not how things are going in the political Hemisphere but I fear there is little Wisdom amongst us: however I beg leave to assure you that in all times and circumstances I am My Dear Sir Your faithful obliged and Affectionate Friend
