To James Pemberton (unpublished)
Augt. 28. 88

Dr Franklin presents his Compliments to Mr. Pemberton. The Papers enclos’d relative to the Scoiety formed in France, were left with Dr. Franklin by Mr. Warville, who lodges at the City Tavern. Some respectful Notice I think should be taken of this Gentleman by our Society. Dr. F’s Indisposition and the present State of his Family, disables him from showing all the Regard Mr. de Warville merits.

Addressed: James Pemberton Esqr / present
Endorsed: Dr. Franklin’s letter to Jas. Pemberton aug 28 88
