George Fox to William Temple Franklin (unpublished)
St. Florentin April 3rd. 81
My dear Temple

As I have not received a Line from you, since yours of the 10th of Jany., I am apprehensive that mine wrote you a few weeks past has not been delivered. If that has been the Case you will excuse me & beleive that I have not forgot our former friendship. If you should know of any departure for our Port you will be good enough to inform me as I have not had an opportunity of answering the Letters lately received. You will excuse the Shortness of this Letter when you consider that I am only as yet convalescent & beleive me to be Yours affectionately, (Verte)

Geo Fox

p.s. My most respectful Compliments attend your Grandfather, & I will thank you to remember me to all my acquaintance. As I wrote Mayo & Foulke by the same opportunity which I wrote you, I imagine that those Letters have experienced the same fate.
