I left philadelphia the 2d. May and was fairly hunted off that Coast by Cruizers, which are in great numbers there. On the 16h: of this month I was taken about 25 leagues off Belle Isle in a new Brig loaded with Tobacco bound to the first port of france, by a Cutter of 18 Guns and carried into Falmouth where I was seven days before I got away from that place and yesterday arrived hence.

Our Army in America are looking at the British in New York, which dont exceed 7000. Our ships Warren, Queen of France and Ranger took seven large Transports loaded with flour and Dry goods to amount of 452,000   with accoutraments for 250 hands going from N. York to Georgia and carried them to Boston. The British must soon leave Georgia if they have not before now. Mr. Carmichael will be in this Kingdom a short time with the Frigate Deane.
