From Jean-Baptiste Le Roy (unpublished)
Sunday morning [September 21, 1777?]

I am sorry, my illustrious doctor, it has been ages since I have had the honor of seeing you, because of the errands which I was obliged to do in Paris. However, today I am planning to make up for what I have missed all this time. I am sending to ask if you are free next Wednesday, the 24th of this month, and if you would do us the honor, you and Monsieur your son, to come dine with us. Please send me a little note of response, and may it be affirmative.
