M. Brongniart of the Royal Academy of Architecture has ordered a cast of the medal designed to consecrate the union of the United States with France; he would like to have the honor of presenting the proof of this to Monsieur Franklin. For myself, I would like to have the honor of paying my respects as well, but as M. Brongniart and I have many of our own occupations, and as we would not like to run the risk of not finding Monsieur Franklin, I took it upon myself to have the honor of writing you to ask you to let me know if we can come to Passy this Thursday, and what time would be most convenient for Monsieur Franklin.
