To the Governor of Connecticut (unpublished)
Philada. April 14. 1787
Sir,

I have the honour of transmitting herewith to your Excellency, an Act of our Legislature, entitled, An Act for ascertaining and confirming to certain Persons called Connecticut Claimants, the Lands by them claimed within the County of Luzernes; and for other Purposes therein mentioned.

Our Government has by this Act manifested its Regard for Peace and good Neighbourhood; and we have no doubt but that yours will show the same amicable Disposition, by discouraging any Attempts, if such should be made by any Inhabitants of your State, to revive and continue the Animosities that have heretofore been attended with such mischievous Consequences. With great Respect I have the honor to be Sir, Your Excellency’s most obedient and most humble Servant

B Franklin Presidt.

His Excellency the Governor of the State of Connecticut.
