From Louis-Guillaume le Veillard (unpublished)
Passy, Jan. 12, 1783

Monsieur de Boislandry, merchant in Laigle, would like to have a private conversation with Monsieur Franklin, and asks me to request this. I assured him that he had no need of a solicitation to obtain this conversation; however, since he desires it, I ask Monsieur Franklin to kindly listen to him favorably. Monsieur de Boislandry is a relative of my family and my friends, and I hope that what he asks of Monsieur Franklin is such that it can be granted
