From Benjamin Franklin: Attestation of Daniel Benezet’s Oath (unpublished)
[June 16th. 1788]

Daniel Benezet of the City of Philadelphia Merchant, maketh Oath and saith That Daniel Benezet Junior of the said City, (late of Gloucester County in State of New Jersey, Lumber Merchant Dealer and Chapman is justly Indebted unto this Deponent, in the Sum of Two hundred Pounds and upwards. And that the said Daniel Benezet Junior is become a Bankrupt within the meaning of the Acts of Assembly of this Commonsealth lately made and provided, and now in Force concerning Bankrupts, as this Deponent is informed and believes, and further saith not.
