Your Excellency will see a Petition signed by me, to the Supreme Executive Council, praying to have an appointment as a Notary Public, together with a Commendation from a Number of the most Respectable Merchants in the City of Philadelphia.

If upon hearing the prayer and recommendation, Your Excellency and the Honorable the Council thinks me worthy of that Office the Honor confer’d on me will be thankfully acknowledged by Venerable Sir Your Excellency’s Most Obedient and very Humble Servant
