I done myself the honor of writing to you in June last by a Gentleman who put my letter into the Post office of Brusselles, under a Cover to Mr. Grand your Banker, in which I inform’d you that the Lord Ch—t Brig had saild and I hope Ere this you have had a letter from my Partner & Nephew J—s—C—s who went in her, as I am sure he will strictly adhere to his Excellencys Instructions—

I was in hopes to have receiv’d a line in answer to the above from you as I gave you my opinion of affairs here and how I thought you could serve your Friends—Our Parlement is to Meet the 9th. of Next month & the People are very much disatisfied, I think of what I before pointed out to you when I had the honor of Seeing you, & what I mention’d in my letter, was Pursued that it would have the desir’d Effect, but I shall Say no more on that Subject untill I shall have the good fortune of hearing from you—

As soon as I shall hear from the Ch—t I propose sending of the N—nh—m & hope the Date of the Passports will not be of any Ill Consequence, & request your opinion about it, you can Direct to Robt. Brown Esqr under Cover to Ulysses North Esqr. Ely Place Dublin & I shall get it safe, you will forgive my not writing this myself but you know the cause, Mr. Hamilton will deliver you a Line in my own writing in his favor, & hope you will Excuse the Liberty, I have therein taken—
