Abraham Livingston to Benjamin Franklin and Silas Deane (unpublished)
Charlestown, May 15, 1778
Dear Sirs

From the Attention you have paid your Countrymen in France during the War I am induced to request your kind Advice and Assistance to Mr. Joseph Brown a young Gentleman of distinction in this State; he is on a tour to Europe and will probably make some stay at Paris. Your Civilities to him during his tarry there will lay me under an Obligation, and add to the many already confered on Your most Obedient Humble Servant

Livingston

Hone B. Franklin and Silas Deane Esqrs.
Endorsed: Recommendations of Brown and Waites 16. May 1778. Livington 16. May 1778.
