Jonathan Williams, Jr. to William Temple Franklin
(unpublished)
Nantes May 11. 1782.
I beg my dear Friend you will send me the Paper and Ink for my
press (all you can spare) for I have two clerks sick and my press
stands still, I will replace it as soon as possible. The paper
designed for the Marquis de Noailles my Father in Law promised to
me. Adieu my Friend I am ever and unalterably Yours.
I was told the other day that the Doctor gave Lettres of Marquie
against the Portuguese. I think the Account false and absurd. But
if it is so pray let me have one for the Spry. Tell the Doctor
the Spry is allready and beg his Dispatches. I mean her to send
her under Convoy. I beg you will give me all possible Information
relative to the Convoy from Brest and the departure of Mr. de la
Touche from Rochefort. You will see by this Letter that I am in a
hurry through Excess of Business, pray pardon me my good Friend
and let me see by your exact Answer that I have favour in your
sight.
