The Abbé André Morellet to William Temple Franklin (unpublished)
Monday

If M. Franklin would like to attend the meeting of the Academie francoise, he will have a seat in the secretary’s gallery, but in order to do so he must also accept a small dinner at a specific time and keep his coach until two so that we may go all together to this gallery, which will be besieged if we arrive too late. Abbé Morellet would like to have more important occasions to offer proofs to M. Franklin of his eagerness to serve him and of his respectful affection for him.

Addressed: To Monsieur / Monsieur Franklin the younger / in Passy / 24 s. to the bearer
