To Jonathan Williams, Sr. (unpublished)
Philadelphia Octr. 19. 1789
Dear Cousin

By an Account that Cousin Jonathan sent me from Boston there appears to be a Balance due to me from you of £23..19..1¼. But as he intimates that the Payment of that Sum might be inconvenient to you, and I am besides sensible of the great Trouble you have had in the Affairs of my Sister, I send you herewith a Receipt in full for that Balance, together with my Thanks for your Kindness and my Assurances of equal Readiness to serve you or your’s if Occasion should offer. My Love to your good Wife and best Wishes for your Prosperity in which this Family joins with Your affectionate Uncle
