Not having heard from you since my Letters of the 9th. June and 24. Oct. of last Year, and fearing they may have miscarried I inclose Duplicates of them, as I think the Subject of the Dictionary and Models proposed therein interresting to the Commerce between France and the United States.
I am exceedingly sorry for the Troubles that have lately happen’d in France; but hope they are now at an End, and that they will eventually be productive of beneficial Consequences to the Nation.
My present Indisposition prevents my Writing much, but I could not let your Son depart, without assuring you of my continued Regard.
Your Sons Conduct while in this Country has been such as to gain him the Esteem of those who knew him. Wishing him safe to your Arms I am as ever Dear Sir, Your affectionate Friend &c
