From Moses Young (unpublished)
Bordeaux 23d of July 1789.
Sir,

Having just arrived here from Madrid on my way to London, I have met with Colonel Eustace of New York, who is very desirous of transmitting to your Excellency by a vessel to sail this day for Baltimore some Papers he has collected for that purpose relative to the important revolution lately accomplished in this kingdom: But, as he says he has not the honor of being personally known to your Excellency he requests me to write his letter, which I do with great pleasure, as it affords me an opportunity of repeating that grateful esteem, with which, I have the honor to be your Excellency’s Most Obedient, and Most Humble Servant

Moses Young.

When I left Madrid on the 5th of July, Mr. Carmichael was well.
