From Marat
Monday, March 29, 79.

I was hoping, Monsieur, that you would do us the honor of being present at the most recent sessions of MM. the committee members, and M. Le Roy gave me hopes that you would.

As the new experiments on electricity were designed by the author for you alone, I have put them off until we have the pleasure of your company. I am hoping that you will kindly accept an invitation for tomorrow, at around ten o'clock in the morning. The camera obscura is very comfortable, the machine is ready, and all the instruments are working well.

I have the honor of being, with the most respectful sentiments, Monsieur, your very humble and obedient servant

The Representative of the Author
