He gave me a power of attorney, a Depot for The hands of Mr. Holcker as french Consul for 8 Loan office Certificates 7400 dollars—also a Loan office Certificate 27 April 1779—500[dollars] Upon Enquiring the State of these Matters I left the depot untouchd, as it could not be Sold but at Immense loss and untill lately no step was taken to liquidate These funds the Loan office Certificate I have got Committed    Certificate for the Intt to 1st Janry 1783. You have inclosed the depot, and the Certificate for $500 and one for the Intt 9- and dollars—which I request you will deliver to La Fargue upon his returning you my obligation with an acknowledgment on the Back of it, that my trust is discharged. I Charge him no postage or Expences.
