From Barbeu-Dubourg
Paris June 10, 1777.
My dear Master,

If you approve the model which Mr. Coder presented to you, as I am disposed to believe, I should alert you that it would be best to decide promptly. This is because they have announced that the St. Denys fair, which started today and which only lasts nine days, might cause a rise of 12 to 15 percent for the price of cloth from Lodeve and Berry. Be sure to watch for this.

I also repeat my request about the rifles about which I told you the day before yesterday, that two thousand new and very good ones could be provided during the current month at a reasonable price, but that one would like to know your decision immediately; that is, if you would like to acquire them, which we prefer above all else; or supposing that you don't have a commission for this, if you think that it would be advantageous to ship them to America, and through which port would it be best to send them. I have the honor of being, with a tender and respectful attachment, My dear Master, Your very humble and obedient servant

Dubourg
