Gentlemen
Gentlemen
I received the letter you did me the honor of writing to me the 16th. instant respecting the Accounts of Mr. Ross, against the U. States, with their Vouchers, supposd to be in my hands. I have made some search for them, but do not find them, and think they were probably deliverd with other public Accounts to Mr. Barclay. However, as soon as my Grandson returns from Albany, whom I expect in a week or ten days, and who knows better than I do, the arrangement of our immense mass of papers, I shall cause a more full search to be made, and if these you demand are found, they shall immediately be sent to you. I have the honor to be &c &c &c
