Honoured Sir
Honoured Sir
Mr. Clifton, a worthy young Gentleman of our Island, intending a Tour to Pensylvania, I have made him happy in having an Opportunity of paying his respects to You by delivering a Book I have since received from England into your Excellency’s own hands. It is my old Pamphlet on Magnetism, but unfortunately not quite perfect, being without the Copperplates. Your philosophical Society will not want such feeble helps, and some One perhaps may draw them from the Description. After the hurricane months I propose trying Your Excellency’s improvement on my Horizontal Windmill and will then acquaint you with the result. I have the honour to be with the truest esteem Your Excellency’s most obliged Most humble Servant
