Louis-Guillaume Le Veillard, gentleman servant of the King of France, and proprietor of the Nouvelles Eaux in Passy where he lives, Geneviève Elisabeth Belamy his wife, Geneviève Le Veillard his daughter, and Guillaume Le Veillard his son, respect and honor with all their heart Monsieur Benjamin Franklin, currently President of the executive council of Pennsylvania, and they send him this present testimony of their existence and of their sentiments so that he may not protest his ignorance of them.
