To John Wright (unpublished)
Philada. Oct. 22. 1788
Dear Friend

I received your kind Letters of the 4th and 20th of the ? Month. The Types from Caslon are received safe and in good Order. I am much obliged by your Care and Readiness in serving me on that Occasion. I hope you and your Friends continue well; As to my Health, I think it is rather improving: But I cannot, considering my Age, [near?] 83. count upon living much longer. While I do live, I shall ever be, my dear Friend, Yours most sincerely

B Franklin

Our public Affairs are getting into good Order. Party Debates about the new Constitution much abated.
