I have duly receiv’d your favor of 18th August and note your receiving safe the several Hygrometers.
Your illness gives me real Concern. The papers you inclos’d that apply to the common Conduct in Life I have often read with great pleasure. I have but one request to make that other papers of a similar nature will be given in due time, as a legacy to posterity we have much to learn yet as to conduct and happiness as well as in philosophy
I immediately on the receipt of yours waited on Mr. John Wright who is alive, and well, and enquired kindly after you. He wrote you the 4th. and 20th of June, and sent the Types by the Young Eagle Kerr, and was surprised he had not heard from you as to their receipt. I gave him the duplicate bill on Le Grand.
My Mother and Sisters desire their kind regards to you and your family. I am with great Respect Dear Sir Your most obedient humble Servant
