Know All Men That I, John Redman of the City of Philadelphia Practitioner of Physick Am held and firmly bound unto The Honorable Benjamin Franklin of the said City Esquire in the Sum of Six hundred pounds — — — — Current Money of Pennsylvania in Gold and Silver Coin to be paid to the said Benjamin Franklin his Certain Attorney Executors Administrators or Assigns To which Payment well and truly to be made I do bind myself my Heirs Executors and Administrators and every of them firmly by these Presents Sealed with my Seal Dated the twenty first Day of June — — — in the Year of Our Lord One thousand Seven hundred and Eighty Seven. Whereas the above named Benjamin Franklin hath this Day Assigned and Set over unto the above bounden John Redman One Indenture bearing Date the Twenty fifth Day of June One thousand Seven hundred and fifty four Made between Sarah Sober late of the said City Widow Deceased of the One part And Richard Peters late of the said City: Esquire and the said Benjamin Franklin of the Other Part Recorded in the Office for Recording of Deeds for the City and County of Philadelphia in Book II Vol. 9 pa 421 &c. Also two Bonds or Obligations therein mentioned And all Sum and Sums of Money due thereon In Trust for the Several Uses and Purposes in the said Indenture expressed concerning the same Now The Condition of the above Obligation is such That if the said John Redman his Heirs Executors and Administrators Do and shall from time to time and at all times hereafter save harmless and Indemnify the said Benjamin Franklin his Heirs Executors and Administrators and his and their Lands and Tenements Goods & Chattles of and from all Costs Charges Damages and Expences which shall or may arise happen or accrue unto him or them for or by reason of the Assignment aforesaid or for or by reason of the Non Performance of the Trusts in the said Indenture expressed by the said John Redman his Executors Administrators or Assigns Then the within Obligation to become void or else to be and remain in full force and Virtue
