From Jean-Baptiste Le Roy

My dear doctor

I have been earnestly requested to ask if you could provide some letters addressed to people of consequence in Carolina, for a respectable merchant whose letter I have the honor of forwarding. I beg you, keep me in mind, and let me know the reply that I should give to this merchant, either through Monsieur Williams or from you directly

Le Roy

p.s. He also asks whether you could facilitate his returns to France but I already told him regarding this that, with commerce being free, you would not get involved in any way with something like this.
