The Petition of Hugh McCulloch of the City of Philadelphia Merchant on behalf of himself & others Creditors of John Jones of the County of Philadelphia Dealer & Chapman Respectfully Sheweth
That the said John Jones by way of Bargain Exchange Rechange and Bartry under the name and Firm of John Jones —— secking his Trade and living by Buying and selling, did on or about the first Instant become Bankrupt, within the meaning of the act of Assembly of this commonwealth lately passed entitled “An Act for the Regulation of Bankrupcy.” In tender consideration whereof may it please your Excellency to grant unto your Petitions a commission under the Great Seal of the said commonwealth Pennsylvania Ss
Hugh McCullough of the City of Philadelphia being duly Sworn Deposith & faith that John Jones now or late of the County of Philadelphia Dealer and Chapman is Indebted unto this Deponent in the Sum of Two hundred pounds and upwards arising upon a Transaction Subsequent to the Sixteenth Day of September one Thousand seven hundred and eighty five and that the said John Jones is become Bankrupt within the meaning of the act of assembly passed on the said Sixteenth Day of September one Thousand Seven hundred and eighty five entitled “an Act for the regulation of Bankruptcy” as this Deponent is informed and verily believes
