From the Abbé Martin Lefebvre de la Roche (unpublished)
Tuesday, 7 o'clock in the morning

Mme. Helvétius spent the night well. She had perspiration provoked and kept up by camphire and nitre. Her fever, which rose even higher last evening, has evidently been salutary. There is very little coughing and spittle, but her respiration is free. Her pulse is easy and sustained, her lower belly is in good shape, urination very easy, but with less sediment than yesterday. Her strength is returning.
