Sir,

The Executive have not in their possession any Papers by which they can ascertain the just Amount of a Claim made by Doctor Franklin for Types, Printing presses &c. furnished to this State in the beginning of the late War, although from the character of the Claimant there can be little doubt of its Justice.

The inclosed letters are therefore submitted to the Legislature together with a certificate of Mr. John Dixon, that being the Only information, which we have been able to obtain. I am most respectfully your Obedient Servant.
