To Gunning Bedford (unpublished)
Philadelphia Oct: 26. 1789
Sir,

When I went last to England I left with my good Friend and your Father in Law, Mr. Parker, a Power of Attorney to settle Accounts for me with Mr. David Hall; To enable him to do this I left with him also the original Articles of Agreement of the Partnership between Mr. Hall and me. I have now urgent Occasion for that Instrument, and hope you may, without much Difficulty, find it among Mr. Parker’s Papers. If you can do so, and will send it to me, you will very much oblige me. Permit me to present my Love to my Good Friend Jenkey, and accept my best Wishes of Health and Happiness to both of you and your young Family.

I am, Sir, Your most obedient and most humble Servant

B Franklin
