Dear Friend

I Receiv’d yours dated. the sixth yesterday with the Umbrella and the other things abt for which I am Very much Obliged to you as it tis a very handsome one and very much admired Now: Concerning my journey which I am afraid I shall not be able to Put in exsicusion before the latter end of next mounth I advertised my House a few days agoe and have got a letter from a Gentleman at Exseter which I think it will suit I shall have an answer on Monday next if it should happen so that he should tak’t I shall most Certainly sett of directly as I have every thing in Readiness I shall write to you by the next Post I have not your buttons yet but I expect them every day I have got the Watch Chain and I think as Elagant a one as ever I saw and for fare the Carnival should end and you should not have that to sport I shall carry it to Mr. Wallis that he may forward it to you as soon as Possible the buttons I shall bring with me I was at the Play the other night ware I saw Pettre he ask me about you he said you was expected in England very soon I told him I should be very glad to see you he wanted to Come the next evening and bring a friend to Tea, I told him know I was perticular engaged I shall most certainly bring over my Neice with me and put her into a Convent at ones for a year I should be very much Obligd to you for the Piece of Black Lace if you can send it before I come as I promised it to a Lady in the Country a Person I Receivd a great many favours from when there I shall not bring over my horse as you are so kind as to say I should [torn: ride?] some of yours I shall Bring [torn] a New saddle and I have got four New Habbits a Black a Brown a Blue and a Scarlet pray write to me by the first post after the Recp’t of this and let me know if you have any commissions for me before I sett off Mrs. Sturdges desires her Best Complit. as Like-wise Mrs. Urwin Direct your next for me at Mrs. Sturdges’s My Dear Franklin I hope you will excuse this and I have such Head ahe I hardly know how to hold it up. from your Affectionate
