Mary Stevenson Hewson to William Temple Franklin (unpublished)
Cheam Oct. 26. 1784
Dear Sir,

I am much mortified I did not know the Epsom Races were to be this week. Had I known they were to be I should have offered you the accommodation of my House.

Perhaps I shall see you before you receive this, but I write it lest I should not, or seeing you, should forget to desire you to send on friday to Johnson the Booksellers’ No 72 St. Paul’s Churchyard for a small parcel of Books directed for me, which I must beg the favour of you to take charge of—they are for B F Bache.

I depend on seeing you.

Believe me very sincerely yours

Mary Hewson
