Nantes 18 Octre. 1783
Dear Sir,

Mr. Williams having made me a preposition to accompany Mr. Alexander to America & the circumstances appearing so favourable to me, I think I cannot with propriety refuse this generous mans offer, therefore I shall be greatly obliged by your favouring me with 2 or 3 letters to your Friends in America, & beg you will command me freely whenever occasions offer so that I may make you at least some returns for the many civilities you have been pleased to shew me. I beg you will make my profound Respects acceptable to your Grandfather & best Compliments to Mr. Delamotte being with sincere Esteem Your friend & very humle. Servt.
