From Jonathan Williams, Jr. (unpublished)
London July 12. 1785.
Dear and honored Sir,

I have seen your Letters to Messrs. Wallace Johnson and Muir and to Mrs. Hewson. I am exceeding happy to find so good an Occasion for going to America and an determined to join you at Cowes. I wish I had the Copy of your little Book that nothing usefull and agreeable at Sea may be omitted in our Preparations. You will hardly have Time to send it to me, but when we meet at Cowes I dare say we can compleat whatever may be deficient. I shall have my little Boy with me which I hope will be agreeable to you. I understand that Capt. Truxton is a very punctual man so do not doubt he will be ready at the Time. The Governor will go to Southampton in a day or two to wait your arrival at Cowes.

My Love to Billy and Ben. I shall not write you any more hoping soon for the Pleasure of seeing you. I am as ever most dutifully and affectionately Yours.

J Williams
