Executive Council of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.

The Petition of William Wistar and George Aston, Creditors of Peter Grubb of the County of Berks(?) in the State of Pennsylvania Merchant, Dealer and Chapsman. Respectfully Sheweths, That Whereas Peter Grubb using and exercising the Trade and business of a Merchant Dealer and Chapman by way of Bargaining Exchange and Reexchange, and Seeking his Trade and Living by Buying & Selling for Just and Good causes being Indebted unto your Petitioners William Westar and George Aston Copartners in Trade, in the sum of ? ? Pounds and upwards, did on or about the ? ? the Present month become a Bankrupt, within the ? ? ? Acts of Assembly of this Commonwealth lately made In tender consideration whereof may it please your Excellency to grant unto your Petitioners, a Commission under the Great Seal of the Commonwealth, to be directed to such and so many well disposed and discreet Persons as to your Excellency may seem meat; Authorizing them thereby, not only Concerning the said Bankrupt, his Body, Lands, Tenements, Freeholds, and Customary Goods, debts, and other things whatsoever, but also concerning all other Persons who by Concealment, Claims or otherwise do or shall offend touching the Premises or any part thereof. Contrary to the true intent and meaning of the Said Acts of Assembly, And to do and execute all, and every thing Needful; as well for and towards Satisfaction and payment of the said Creditors, as towards and for all other intents and purposes, According to the Ordinance and Provision of Said Acts, And Your Petitioners as in duty bound Shall every Pray &ca.
