The Doctors disapprobation of my Application to Mr de Fleury is reason enough for its not being made, I am therefore perfectly content on that score & think no more about it, I am not however the less obliged both to him & you for your Friendship.
I will order the wine sent from Bordeaux by the first Vessells that sail from that Port, Opportunitys are not frequent at present.
As to your demand against Capt R I can only say that as far from having anything in my hands he owes me a considerable sum, & he could promise a Reimbursement from me on no other principle than borrowing from Peter to pay Paul. I would willing advance on your acct whatever sum you have occasion for, but I am at the end of the string for the Gentleman in question and wish he could find some New Friend to can his old one instead making his old One a But for all his Wants.
