Wm. Dunbar a Mulatto Man was Steward of Capt. Truxton’s Ship when I came over to Philadelphia, and behaved in that Station, as far as appear’d to me, unexceptionably, and I heard nothing of his Conduct, nor saw any thing in it, that might be thought inconsistent with the Character of an honest Man.
