From William Vaughan (unpublished)
London May 1 1788
Dear Sir

By the Catherine Wilson I forwarded two small boxes for you which I hope you will have received safe. Capt. William Young of the Ark has promised to deliver to you a Box containing DeLues Hygrometer. I have the pleasure to inform you that my Mother is much recovered and that she begs you will accept of her hand wishes to you and yours.

Dr. Priestley is now in Town with me. He never was better and is as much engaged as ever. Our good friend Dr. Price has his hands full for some calculations respecting Poor laws and rates for the House of Commons. Mr. Gilberts bill is thrown out. I am with great regard Dear Sir Your most obedient humble Servant

W Vaughan
