Jonathan Williams, Jr. to William Temple Franklin (unpublished)
Nantes Nov 18. 1779
My dear Billy.

Pray deliver or send the inclosed to Mr. Luard. I thank you for your Care of my Horse, sell him and keep the Money for me.

You have not yet said a Word to me about the Order from Congress for Goods, will it go on? and shall I be employed? I think our Friend M. de C has a penchant to prefer L’Orient for the Place of Shipping. This is certainly a more advantageous one. Let me know all you can about this and also about Walpole and my new Relations. I am sorry I cannot send you the young Man I proposed as he is engaged in employ here which he cannot quit. I am my dear Billy most affectionately yours

J Williams J
