From William Barton (unpublished)
Jany. 15th. 1790.
Hond. Sir,

When I had the pleasure of seeing You, about a fortnight since, You mentioned your being possessed of several Papers, which You intended to communicate to the Am. Philos. Society. As there is to be a Meeting of the Socy. this evening, for the election of Members, perhaps You may think it proper (unless You should be too much indisposed to attend to it) to make the Communications at this time. Should You wish to do it, I shall be happy in laying the Papers before the Society, in your behalf; and, if it be your desire, I will do myself the Honor of waiting on You, to receive them. I have the Honor to be, With the highest Respect, Sir, Your most obedient humble Servant.

W. Barton
