A Gentleman who embarks for France upon his Route to Holland and who visits Paris furnishes me with an opportunity of conveying to your Hands a Letter to my Brother to whom I would wish it to be transmitted as soon as possible—I shall make no apology for the Liberty I take with you convinced from the many Civilities my Brother has already received from you that you will not hesitate to give him this further proof of your remembrance of former Initmacies—As you have experienced a separation from one to whom you are nearly connected you can be no Stranger to the many anxious moments an uncertainty of the fate of those who are dear to us occasions permit me then to request you will inform me of my Brothers situation whenever his [two words illegible] from Paris may deprive him of an Opportunity of writing to his Relations &. with the greatest personal Respect I remain Your very humble Servant

p.s. I just add this Postscript to inform you that a Gentleman to whom you are very nearly related was in perfect Health about Six weeks ago—This information which I accidentally obtained—I mention to remove any Anxiety you might experience upon his Arrival.
