In the Absence of my Grandfather, who is gone to Versailles with Mr: D. Hartley, I have the Honor to send you enclosed, an Act lately passed in the British Parliament, to repeal the former ones probiting Trade and Intercourse between Great Britain and the United States of America. Mr: Hartley is the Minister appointed by the New Administration for concluding the Definitive Treaty with the American Ministers here.
