Gentlemen,

I received your Favour [of the] 5th Instant. Mr. Barclay has spoken to me concerning your Demand for the Expense you have been at [on] Account of Prisoners. I imagined that a Part of that Account had been already paid; but he undertook to enquire into it. If he finds it still due I shall leave Orders for discharging it. Mr. Barclay will also do what is proper to be done for settling the other Affair, in which we have been very unhandsomely treated: as I will say no more of that, wishing yo[ur and being with great Regard, Gentlemen, Your most obedient humble Servant
