From Jonathan Williams, Jr. (unpublished)
Sunday morn [c. 1785]
Dear and honoured Sir

Looking over some Papers this morning I found a scribble of mine, which was intended as a Critique on Mr. Bowdoin, in answer to his Critique on you. I wrote it for my Amusement only, and never produced it. I send it for your Perusal, and request you will tell me all its Defects that I may gain Instruction from them. You will find in it, many Gleanings from your Conversation. Yours most dutifully and affectionately

J Williams

I shall be glad to have the paper again with you Remarks when you have made them.
